We have been sent a short movie showing flooding again on Station Road between Bagwell Lane and the Hurst on 9 March 2016. This is in addition to the floods we documented on 4 Jan and 7 January 2016.
Surely, it cannot be sensible to plan for a new town in a place that has flooded three times in less than three months.

Many of the older people living in Hartley Wintney often refer to those fields around Pale Lane over to Edenbrook as ‘The Marshes’ – says it all!

The builders don’t care about that, look at Edenbrook, that was always land that was boggy and flooded. I believe the new pumping station that is still being built at the end of Dukes Mead is not for the existing homes but for all the new ones that they want to build.

We haven’t had any real rain for a couple of weeks, yet the fields are still saturated and water is still running down into the road on Pale Lane… Hmmmmm! Would you like to live in a house in the area?
