Following our post this morning pointing out material discrepancies between two different versions of the Hart Local Plan consultation response form, Hart Council have issued a statement saying they have corrected the issues and published version 6 of the consultation form and:
“The administrative error occurred when the Response Form was corrected on 6 January 2016 to include the villages of Crookham Village, Dogmersfield and Eversley in the list at Question 4 (Approach 1). This reflects the main consultation document itself (Refined Options for Delivering New Homes) which is correct. Unfortunately an earlier, incorrect, version of the Response Form (which was never published) was used as the basis for this correction, which is where the error lies. To be absolutely clear, there was no conscious attempt by anyone to change the text in the Response Form that precedes Question 1.”
However, this statement suggests the latest response form is now in line with the main Refined Options paper and the summary booklet, but it is not.
2) The summary booklet does not include reference to Dogmersfield and Crookham Village:
- What are HDC going to do about the people who answered the V4 document?
- Has the on-line version changed?
- If so, when, and what about the people who answered under the old wording?
- What are they going to do about hte discrepancies between all of the documents?
Doesn’t this invalidate the consultation? It should be rerun with a questionnaire written by an independent body who know what they’re doing.

They have now issued a statement and released v6 of the response form.
They should surely extend the consultation period while advising residents of Hart of the changes and the reasons for the changes otherwise it can’t be classed as a fair consultation (not that it was from the start)

I wonder who is responsible? Someone should be removed from office. CEO? Head of the Council Stephen Parker? Or perhaps some of our councillors who are so keen to concrete over Hart should go

But only if they read the latest response form or look at the latest online form. If they read the main refined options paper or the booklet that came through doors then Dogmersfield and CV not mentioned in Q4 text. #Omnishambles

I am just astounded that Hart Council think hey can do this and get away with it. They must really think we are all stupid
They must think we are as daft as some of them appear to be

Yup.
Yup.
So Dogmersfield and Crookham village residents now have to choose between possible small developments in their village or 5000 houses just down the road and carry the burden of all the extra traffic cars, lorries, buses passing through their village.

What a farce. So apart from all the changes mid consultation which has got to make the whole consultation invalid, they are now including Dogmersfield and Crookham Village as an alternative to the New Settlement. A sort of threat to them, if you don’t vote for the new settlement you will get building. I am sure the residents of Hart are intelligent enough to see through this. It does show a lack of intelligence at Hart Council though
